What is Hydro Jetting?
Hydro Jetting or Sewer Jetting is a process in which your sewer pipes are cleaned by streams of high-pressure water shooting out of a hose at up to 3,500 psi. This is a process similar in nature to pressure washing. These high-pressure streams are strong enough to cut through and clear out any debris in your sewer lines.
How does it work?
Typically each plumbing system has an opening called a cleanout to allow plumbers to easily “clean out” clogs and debri. This opening is where the hydro jetting is usually done. Hydro Jetting is done opposite the normal flow of waste water. This enables all of the removed debri to flow back down and out using gravity after the drainage path is already cleared. The hydro jetters can clear sewer lines up to several hundred feet.
